How to make your tag visible?

When you need to set it up?

If you get messages like Turn on your tag, or any other message which tells you your tag is not visible, you need to check some settings to fix it. The so-called tag is an information field which informs the other users and the hub operators about your basic settings (slot number, etc.). If you're interested, you can check the others' tag in the Tag column of your userlist.

What to set up?

BCDC Settings

Open the Settings (File >> Settings) then choose the BCDC++ page. Make sure the Client Emulation is set to BCDC++ and the field Description format is empty. Don't write anything in here, this is not identical with the Description settings of the Personal information settings page.

Furthermore:

Favorite hub properties window

In the favorite hubs Window, open each hubs' properties and make sure the Client Emu is set to BCDC++. If the specified hub disallows clients with upload limiting (like BCDC++), set it to DC++. Also make sure that the Desc. Format field is empty!
